Brilliance Shineray Chongqing Automobile Co., Ltd. is based on original Chongqing Shineray Automobile Co., Ltd., an automaker in China, invested by Brilliance Auto Group & Shineray Group.
Brilliance Auto Group is specialized in R&D, design, manufacture, sales and after-sale service of complete vehicles, engines and core automotive parts with more than 50 years' history in China. The group has become a large scale empire of RMB 30 billion assets and 35,000 employees, which produced and sold around 501,000 units of vehicles and realized annual revenue of RMB 65.19 billion in 2010. Brilliance Auto Group has three listed companies, more than 100 wholly-owned, holding and share holding companies, three famous brands, five automobile manufacturing companies, four engine production lines and lots of spare parts production lines, has established two national-recognized enterprise technology centers, national-recognized testing laboratory and Postdoctoral research center. Brilliance Auto Group works as the unique partner of BMW in China. Brilliance-BMW was founded and invested by Brilliance Auto and BMW in 2003, which is responsible for sales, after-sales service of BMW. The annual sales volume of Brilliance-BMW broke through 150,000 units in 2010. It has technology cooperation with TOYOTA to produce Jinbei Haise minibus, this model has been ranking No. 1 for 14 years in China. The market maintenance is more than 1,000,000 units, which takes more than 50% of market share.
Shineray Group was established in 1997. In 2007, approved by State Administration of Industry and Commerce, Shineray Group became a non-regional restriction private company, with headquarter in Chongqing. With 14 years development, Shineray Group has 5,000 employees and 300,000 m2 factory building and the first-class international racetrack. Shineray Group has involved in manufacture industry (including motorcycle, automobile, power equipment and agriculture machinery) and real estate development industry. The annual production and sales volume of motorcycle, automobile, power equipment and agriculture machinery is around 500,000 units, the annual revenue is RMB10 billion.
In 2005, Brilliance Auto Group & Shineray Group invested RMB 2 billion to establish Chongqing Shineray Automobile Co., Ltd. Shineray Auto has two plants (Brilliance Auto southern base) respectively located in Chongqing and Mianyang, China, with annual production capacity of 310,000 units. These two plants are equipped with first-class facilities for pressing, welding, painting and assembling and have been awarded ISO 9001 & ISO/TS16949 Certification to ensure vehicle quality to meet international standard.
“SHINERAY” is acknowledged as one of the Chinese famous trademarks. Owning an independent system in automotive R&D, manufacture, sales and service, Shineray Auto mainly produces mini-size commercial vehicles ranging from 800 cc to 1300 cc gasoline engine. All newly produced Shineray automobiles meet China IV Emission Standard (equivalent to Euro IV), and has been certified in compliance with China Compulsory Certification.
In 2005, Shineray Auto officially entered automotive industry resulting from its Passenger Van was born in Japan. After 3 years elaborative preparations, first Shineray car came off its production line on 23rd October 2008. By the end of 2011, Shineray Auto built more than 2,000 sales and service outlets in China but also exported its vehicle to over 30 countries and regions.
For a solid foundation in future, Brilliance Shineray will speed up the R&D, and sales volume achieve 150,000 units in 2012, focus on international markets in Africa, Asia, Middle East and South America.
